Events

We meet several times per month, so there’s almost always a meeting you can attend. We’d love to see you at one or all of them whenever you can pop in.

General Meetings

2nd Wednesday, 9:15 am – 12:00 noon – one of two monthly meetings, this one at The Coeur d’Alene Library Gozzer Room (702 E Front Ave, Coeur d’Alene). This is a more formal meeting run by one of our members and generally includes a presentation or guest speaker and discussion around a writing topic and possibly a writing prompt. The last hour of the meeting is often devoted to reading and receiving feedback on each other’s work.

Note: The Jewett House is currently undergoing a remodel. Until further notice, we will be holding this meeting at the Coeur d’Alene Library. 11/15/2025

3rd Thursday, 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm – our second monthly meeting, this one at Lutheran Church Of The Master (4800 N Ramsey Rd, Coeur d’Alene). Agenda is similar to that of the 2nd Wednesday meeting.

Critique Groups

For established members, critique groups are where we gather to read what we’ve written, listen to others, and share constructive feedback on what we liked and how to make it better. As our group grows, more critique groups will be added. (We’ve found that groups work best when they have 6-12 members.) Please email us to find out when critique groups meet and which ones currently have space.

Happy Hour

Fourth Thursday, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – our monthly get together at The Lair inside The Innovation Den (418 E Lakeside Dr, Coeur d’Alene). No agenda. Just come, visit, and see where the conversation leads. Writers are often great conversationalists, after all. BYOB (Coeur d’Alene Coffee Co is located upstairs and is open until 5 pm.)
